Will a CD ROM Course Download Information on My Computer Requiring Disk Space?

FLS CDs run off the CD and do not download information on your computer and will not use additional disk space.  The CD plays on your web browser but does not connect you to the internet.

How Do I Start My CD Course?

CD courses should autoplay on PCs running Windows operating system.  Simply insert the CD in your CD Rom drive.

If the CD does not autoplay in a PC:
  Windows XP

    2. Double Click your CD Rom drive (i.e. D:)
    3. Double click “Start.”
  Windows Vista
    1. Insert the CD in your CD Rom player.
    2. Click the start button bottom left.
    3. Click “Computer.”
    4. Double Click your CD Rom drive (i.e. D:).  The CD should start.
    5. If it still does not start- double click “Start.bat” file and the CD

When I insert my CD-ROM course into my computer I see a message that says:

“Active content can harm your computer or disclose personal information. Are you sure that you want to allow CDs to run active content on your computer?”
What should I do?

This is a normal Windows security warning. Your CD-ROM course will not modify any content on your computer and they do not transmit information. You can simply close this warning message and not have any problems.

When my Web Browser starts I get a yellow message bar at the top of the web browser that says:

“To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options...”
What should I do?

This is a normal Internet Explorer security warning. The scripts that your CD-ROM course runs will not modify any content on your computer, but it is important that you allow Internet Explorer to run scripts in order for the CD-ROM course to function. It is safe and necessary to click on the yellow bar and then click “Allow Blocked Content…” and then the “Yes” button.

How many times can I take the quiz?

You may take the quiz as many times as needed.  If you do not pass the quiz, it is highly recommended you return and review the course material before attempting to take the quiz again.

Can I see the answers I got wrong?

When you pass the quiz you will be given an opportunity to review the quiz and see your answer and the correct answer for each question. Because you can retake the quiz if you fail, you will not be given an opportunity to see the quiz review with all the correct answers if you fail the quiz.
